Free Agent Rumor - Football Wiretap
Rams Working On Atogwe Deal As Deadline Nears
The Rams and safety Oshiomogho Atogwe continue to work on a contract for the restricted free agent, according to a source.
St. Louis is still trying to sign Atogwe to a long-term deal. They risk losing him after he didn't sign his restricted tender offer.
If the sides don't reach a multi-year deal, then they have until midnight on June 1 to decide whether or not to place a high tender on Atogwe to keep him; otherwise he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
Seahawks Won't Pursue Owens Unless 'Something Drastic Happens'
The Seahawks aren't going to pursue free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens unless "something drastic happens."
That's what Seattle general manager John Schneider said in a radio interview earlier this week.
It is believed that the Seahawks have more interest in Owens prior to drafting Golden Tate in April.
Rams Still Trying To Lock Up Atogwe
The Rams are still working to re-sign safety Oshiomogho Atogwe.
The key date is June 1, when St. Louis must either extend Atogwe a contract at 110 percent of his 2009 salary, or he'll be an unrestricted free agent unless the two sides have agreed to another deal before then.
Seattle Has Options At Running Back
The Seahawks have a number of options if they opt to add another running back in the wake of LenDale White's release.
In addition to Marshawn Lynch, who they might be able to pry from the Bills, 12th Man Rising lists Brian Westbrook, Tatum Bell, Justin Fargas and Jamal Lewis as free-agent options.

Lions Showing Interest In Bulluck
The Lions are among the teams monitoring linebacker Keith Bulluck, who will soon begin making visits to teams.
Bulluck is recovering from a torn knee ligament.
"I think that he's a guy, among others, that we've had our eye on," coach Jim Schwartz said Thursday.
"It just throws a little bit of a monkey wrench into it for him because he's coming off an ACL. But he's a quality player that's played for a long time in the NFL, and when he's available, I'm sure there will be a lot of teams that will be interested in him."
Schwartz was Tennessee's linebackers coach in 2000 when the Titans drafted Bulluck in the first round.
Westbrook Would 'Love To Be A Part' Of Redskins
Brian Westbrook, a native of Washington D.C. and recent visitor of the Redskins, says that he would "love to be part of that organization."
"It went really well," Westbrook said of his visit. "I enjoyed them and the coaching staff. I'd love to be a part of that organization. They have a quality organization -- I just have to find out if I can fit into their system."
Westbrook had spent his entire eight-year career with the Eagles before being released earlier this offseason.
Jerome Harrison With Browns For OTAs Without Contract
Jerome Harrison, who rushed for 561 yards in the final three games of last season, has been participating in organized team activities this week despite not signing his one-year tender yet.
Harrison was absent on Thursday, the one day of the week open to the media, but was here the first two days of the session.
Eric Mangini said Harrison's absence was unrelated to his contract situation.
Mangini said Harrison is the only unrestricted free agent participating. The absentees are Matt Roth, D'Qwell Jackson, Lawrence Vickers and Abe Elam.
"I think it's good for everyone to be here because it's the second round of install and it helps the player and it helps us for when we go to camp,'' said Mangini. "I'm glad Jerome is here and I expect him to be here next week.''
